Ah, yes, Dance Laury Dance, my discovery of 2013. I went to their show 4 times already since last summer and bought their 2 latest albums. Their latest album, Hellalujah, got released last week.

Another electronic power metal artist I enjoy who recently released a new album, Albion. I especially like his distinctive Amiga sound.

Much love for my very talented friend Pete Ellison (of Disko Warp), who made a bangin’ remix of my tune “Discord”. Give it a listen, if you haven’t already!

"Discord" always been one of my favorite eurobeat songs. Check it out if you haven’t already!

Power metal from Québec, Canada made with MTV Music Generator. Really good for a genre the software isn’t quite made for. It’s a should buy, if you want my opinion.

MTV Music Generator: The Blog

Hey there, happy new year everyone!

This is a new blog I decided to start about independent music I like, reviews about them (especially those made in the Music 2000 software), new releases of albums made with said software and general updates about its associated website, mtv-music-generator.com. This blog is on Tumblr, so you can freely reblog the posts on your own blog so you can give the artists some publicity :) The ask and submit features will also be enabled so you can share us your music.

MTV Music Generator (or Music 2000 outside North America) is a music creation software for the PlayStation 1 and Windows released in 1999. A whole series of this software spawned from 1998 and 2004 on PS1/PS2/Xbox/Windows/GameBoy, including 2 sequels. In 2007, a support forum, TIMGUL, was created by an artist, DJ Omnimaga, on mtv-music-generator.com and gathered artists from all around the world, including the creator of the software. It closed down in 2012 as the forum became inactive and the admins could no longer support it, the users were then redirected to the appropriate section of Omnimaga. It can (sometimes) still be viewed here.

I started this project after I gained full ownership of the domain name sometime 2 weeks ago when we were cleaning up the old unused account that used to host TIMGUL and Omnimaga, the archives being hosted on my own server. After the domain transfer process added another year to the expiration date, I figured out, now it’s on my account and it nw expires in 2015, I should put it to good use… I hope it will indeed be put to good use with this blog.

This site is not affiliated with MTV, Music 2000 or anything.

Thanks for following us and have fun!
